TRUTH
PRESS ON
(Philippians
3:12) “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press
on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold
of me.”
That which you begin
in the will of God, you are to press on
in. No whining about the pressure or how
hard it is to keep pressing on.
No, you are to be in wisdom the irresistible pressure-maker, overcoming
the forces of confusion, laziness, irresponsibility, instability, and plain ole
wimpiness.
View yourself as a honed distance runner with great
endurance, flowing at a steady pace mile after mile, pressing on, pressing on, pressing on… You
are on cruise control. Patience power is
in living operation in you. For no task
that you begin in the will of God will you get discouraged or lose heart. You keep pressing
on.
Nothing else is considered.
Here is the press on
cycle. These three steps are to be
continually repeated until Jesus comes!
1.
Hear the new that
you are to learn in the will of God
2.
Study the new by
doing homework.
3.
Review previously
studied things. (Now go back to step 1.)
(Hebrews 6:12) “that you do not become
sluggish (lazy), but
imitate those who through faith and patience inherit
the promises.”
Once you begin
and press on, you need to learn what
to do next. The next Truth Gem reveals that truth.
